Gladstone Region Tours through Dazza’s eyes.

Let’s get one thing straight, I love where I live, and firmly believe that the Gladstone region has an amazing story to be told, from a traditional owner aspect, through to the modern-day Port city to the world.

With not having the Bruce Highway or Pacific Coast Way run through it, those travelling north hardly give our region a thought, apart from “oh there’s happy knackers” and “not much there” comments, but once you scratch that surface you’ll find a very rich and important history from Matthew Flinders, and John Oxley, through to the four or so indigenous nations who called this region home for thousands of years, enjoying everything which we enjoy today like mud crabs, Oysters, Barramundi, Coral Trout, and Red Emperor.

The modern-day Gladstone is home to world class industries, thriving here using the natural harbour to import and export.

127 mega tonnes per annum of material is handled right here, and where else could you go on this amazing coastline where you can earn amazing money, live like a king, where the fishing is the envy of the whole nation.

Gladstone needs to have more experiences, and more things for the visitors to do, so we have taken the plunge and will be offering tours 2.5-3 hours twice a day, and the odd full day tour to the Boyne Valley where you can really sink your teeth into the history.
